I’m an engineer, that love making apps with JS based stack. It wasn’t just a random decision, but a long road from Java through PHP to one and only - JavaScript. Through my career I’ve tried a lot of different languages, but JS is my favourite tool of choice for most of the projects.
My main interest is creating products end-to-end.

AlloCanada is the result of a collaboration between The Refugee Centre, DevBloc and the Canadian Red Cross. It is a platform that centralises services that newcomers often need to access throughout their settlement and integration journeys. It contains resources found in seven of Canada’s major cities: Halifax, Montreal, Toronto, Ottawa, Calgary, Edmonton and Vancouver.
While working with Allocanada I had to implement the new version of the application with NextJS. It was an interesting experience because it included leading the interns and delegating the tasks to the team members.
Since Allocanada is helping to the refugees from other countries, this project in particular is close to my heart and our relations with them and CTO in particular go beyond the contract. I’m interacting with them from time to time for the updates and improvements.

This particular project was an exciting journey for me as a developer. It started from a simple idea that developed into a great user experience.
My responsibilities included selecting the stack, transforming vision into the product, implementing scalable solutions.
When the time came we had to hire more people - I was responsible for setting up the interviews and looking for engineers, along with guiding them through the initial period.
It was an incredible experience I wish everyone had a chance to live through.
